Falcon 1—9/25/04 |

DescriptionThis launch was from Schroon Lake, New York. The purpose was to test our ability to track through central Vermont. Our launch host was the Blue Ridge Motel and by coincidence we launched the same day as the Adirondacks Hot Air Balloon Festival. We cleared our launch with the festival managers to insure that we wouldn't interfere with any of their manned balloons. The launch was a personal-best, the balloon reached an altitude of just over 100,000 feet before burst. This would have been a perfect launch had it not been for the “Beware of Bull” sign between us and our payloads. We left our radio to the bulls.
