New York City Space Science Research Alliance
The New York City Space Science Research Alliance is anchored by the City University of New York (CUNY), the Hayden Planetarium of the American Museum of Natural History, the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies. A multi-campus research center and a “virtual” Department of Space Science has been created in New York City, so that under-served undergraduate students and faculty can become involved in Space Science research and education projects that support NASA’s vision for space exploration. • Faculty research in Space and Planetary Sciences and Space Technology • Bachelor of Science Degree in Space Science through the City University of New York Baccalaureate Degree Program • Space Science Concentrations/Minor on four CUNY campuses • Undergraduate academic year and summer research under the mentorship of CUNY faculty and/or NASA scientists • Scholarships for qualified undergraduates Projects are supported by the NASA Minority Colleges and Universities Education and Research Initiative (MUCERPI) and the NASA Minority University Research and Education Programs (MUREP).
